Musical review

THE LION KING

The Lion King is a musical based on the 1994 Disney animated film of the same name with music by Elton John and lyrics by Tim Rice along with the musical score created by Hans Zimmer with choral arrangements by Lebo M. Directed by Julie Taymor, the musical features actors in animal costumes as well as giant, hollow puppets. The show is produced by Disney Theatrical Productions.

The musical debuted July 8, 1997, in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the Orpheum Theatre, and was an instant success before premiering on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theater on October 15, 1997, in previews with the official opening on November 13, 1997. On June 13, 2006, the Broadway production moved to the Minskoff Theatre to make way for the musical version of Mary Poppins, where it is still running after more than 6,700 performances. It is Broadway's third longest-running show in history and the highest grossing Broadway production of all time, having grossed more than $1 billion.

The show debuted in the West End's Lyceum Theatre on October 19, 1999, and is still running. The cast of the West End production were invited to perform at the Royal Variety Performance 2008 at the London Palladium on December 11, in the presence of senior members of the British Royal Family.

In September 2014, The Lion King became the top-earning title in box-office history for both stage productions and films, surpassing the record previously held by Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, of which was the first to gross over $6 billion.

COMMENTS: This part is a success in the United States, and when it came to Brazil I went to see the theater in Sao Paulo.

I enjoyed the part, I found a cool music, was one of the best pieces I saw in my life, everything was great. If you have the opportunity to watch I would like to say how much it is worth going.
The part that I most liked in the play was at the time that it began because the actors who participated in the part came close to us, falling in the stairs to the stage.

Surrealism
This type of the art was created in Europe, surrealism term is used to express something out of reality.
It was a movement which started in literature but extended for areas as music, theater, photography and painting
The artists wanted breaking barriers between reason and emotion, dream and reality, the quotient and the unconscious
This art was based on Dadaism, whose members defended freedom in life and art. Besides attributing importance to the objects that were despised, the Dada intended to take the art of the muses leading to people's daily lives

Here are two examples of surrealist art
And here one example of Dadaism

This film was the debut of the great actor Jason Statham, it was produced by James Wan and written by Chris Morgan. This film is very good and have a great cast, same with the death of actor Paul Walker the film has not much changed because the company works very well in the special effects used to turn his brother in the actor Paul Walker. We had one of the highest-grossing of all time and had spectacular scenes. Is an action movie with car racing, but also causes a lot of emotion
